Nevsehir Turkey

First Nyssa, and later Muskara (in the 18th century), Nevsehir, the 'new city', has been known for its spiritual character and for its love of the arts during the 'Time of the Tulips'. Until the 18th century, Nevsehir was a small town in Anatolia whose destiny changed thanks to Ibrahim Pacha, who was born here and became a Grand Vizier. On the death of Damat Ibrahim Pacha, in 1730, the city did not lose its importance because after the Ottoman era and with the arrival of the Republic, it became the capital of the province that bears its own name. This beautiful town stands out for the fortress perched on the hill, guarding the city. Built in the Seljuk period, it is the oldest building in Nevsehir. The külliye is a complex consisting of a fortress, a mosque, a library, a theological school, a library, a theological school, a hamam, an imaret (popular hostel and soup kitchen) and an elementary school.
