Chichen Itza - Cenote Yokdzonot - Izamal - Merida

Inside you will see the Temple of the God Kukulkan, also known as the Castillo, symbolised by the plumed serpent, the astronomical observatory, the temple of the warriors and the ‘Juego de la Pelota’ field.
Lunch in a local restaurant and continuation to the cenote Yokdzonot, which is beautiful, natural and not very touristy. After a refreshing swim, a last stop in Izamal: here the Spaniards built the grandiose convent of St. Anthony on top of the ruins of a former Maya site. In the late afternoon we arrive in the capital of the Yucatan State, Mérida, a city that still retains vestiges of the days of European prosperity and elegance, a legacy of Spanish and French domination.
Accommodation at the Mision de Fray Diego hotel or similar. Free evening and overnight stay.

Day 3: Merida

Uxmal - Merida
Breakfast in hotel. Departure towards the archaeological zone of Uxmal one of the most important testimonies of the Mayan culture in the "Ruta Puuc". The characteristic of the Puuc architectural style is that of having low and rectangular buildings with gardens in the center surrounded by columns with inscriptions dedicated mostly to Chaac, the god of rain. Lunch included and return to Merida where we will take a short panoramic tour to admire the Paseo de Montejo, the Monumento alla Patria, the main square with the Cathedral and the government buildings. Return to the hotel and evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the Mision de Fray Diego hotel or similar.

Cobá - Tulum - Mayan Riviera
Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards the south of the Yucatan Peninsula, passing through the town of Valladolid, to the wildest archaeological site in the area, Cobá with its ruins immersed in the dense vegetation of the ‘Yucatan Jungle’. During the visit you can admire the highest pyramid in the Yucatan, Nohoch Mul. Transfer to Tulum and visit to the archaeological site, the only Mayan city built directly on the sea, which in the past served as a port and sorting centre for goods transported by boat to Mexico. Free time to bathe in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Departure for Playa del Carmen and accommodation in the chosen hotel (not included).
